About The Work

The Baptist Missionary Association of America officially began working in Ghana in December of 1994 when a group of eleven pastors expressed a desire to affiliate with our association. The BMA of Africa now has over two hundred churches and missions established in seven West African countries: Ghana, Burkina Faso, Togo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria and Benin. Over 30,000 people have made professions of faith since 1997! In Ghana we have a Bible Institute with an enrollment of thirty. A "compound" which will have two missionary houses, the Bible Institute and the headquarters building for the BMA of Africa has been planned and work has begun on this project. A loan has been obtained from the Foreign Revolving Loan fund to purchase land and build the two missionary houses. The two houses have been completed and construction continues on the remaining facilities.
